We all want to age as gracefully as possible. To do that, we need to take care of our “head-to-toe” health. Maintaining vision health is a key component of wellness and feeling good as we grow older. One example of a precaution that can be taken to maintain eye health is to use protective eyewear when doing projects in the house or at work. Another is to stop smoking. For recommendations on other precautions to take to help support healthy vision, it's best to speak to a healthcare professional.

It's critically important to have regular check-ups, not just eye exams, to support total body care. Some medical conditions, certain medications and other life factors can have an impact on vision. Following-up on any health concerns and adhering to the instructions of physicians and other health professionals is advised.
